Job Summary
Journeyperson Plumber responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems in residential and commercial settings. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to determine the best course of action; use hand tools and power tools to assemble and disassemble plumbing systems. Work on construction sites in a fast-paced environment; conduct routine maintenance to prevent leaks and issues; troubleshoot and diagnose plumbing problems. Collaborate with carpenters and other construction professionals to ensure plumbing integrates with the build; maintain a clean, safe work area; stay up-to-date with new plumbing technologies.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Journeyperson Plumber
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an apprenticeship program in plumbing or a related field
- A valid plumber's license, as required by the state or local government
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and diagrams
- Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking
- Experience with construction sites and remodeling projects
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in cramped spaces
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
