Job Summary
Conduct thorough patient evaluations to assess physical capabilities and limitations, then design and implement tailored treatment plans addressing specific needs. Administer one-on-one therapy sessions utilizing exercise design, manual therapy, and modalities such as ultrasound and hot packs, managing a typical caseload of 7-8 patients daily. Oversee fitness equipment use for warm-up exercises and monitor patient progress to adjust treatment plans based on individual responses. Maintain accurate documentation of patient care per organizational standards while collaborating with healthcare professionals to maximize therapeutic outcomes. Focus primarily on athletes and active individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries including knee pain, back discomfort, and shoulder issues.
Required Qualifications
- Current Physical Therapist license issued by the state of Virginia
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program
- Proven experience as a Physical Therapist
- Experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting
- Strong knowledge of orthopedic conditions
- Knowledge of physical therapy treatment methodologies
- Excellent clinical assessment skills

- Outstanding interpersonal skills
- Communication capabilities
- A compassionate, patient-centered approach
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Minimum of one year of experience
