Job Summary
Track student progress through accurate data collection and reporting while providing targeted small-group and individual instruction in resource classes. Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to support a caseload of approximately 12 students in 5th–8th grade. Collaborate with general education teachers to deliver co-taught math and ELA instruction that meets diverse student needs. Maintain a structured, supportive classroom environment that promotes confidence and success, fostering strong relationships with students, families, and staff to support academic and social-emotional growth. This full-time role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact through individualized support within a junior high team.
Required Qualifications
- previous experience teaching in special education or a related capacity
- A bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field
- An active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an LBS1 endorsement

- A master's degree
