Licensed Escrow Assistant (Independence Title - Austin Oaks Office)

Job Summary
Coordinate information collection to finalize home sales and manage A to Z processing including front end, curative work for Schedule C, CDs/HUDs, and post-closing funding tasks. Back up closings as requested by Closer or management while maintaining hands-on experience with the entire closing process. Keep Escrow Officer license active and ensure CE credits remain current after becoming licensed. Communicate professionally with customers and co-workers in a fast-paced environment requiring Microsoft Suite proficiency. This role is based at the Austin Oaks Office in Austin, Texas, supporting residential and commercial real estate transactions for Independence Title Company.
Required Qualifications
- A High School diploma or equivalent
- Must successfully apply for Escrow Officer License once onboard with the Company
- A minimum of 4 years of Escrow experience, frontend and backend/funding
- Great written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work proficiently with technology and in fast paced environment
- Microsoft Suite proficient, including Outlook
- This position works at the office - not a work from home position
Desired Qualifications
- Having hands-on experience with the closing process
- Handling, and having comfortable knowledge in: A to Z processing: front end, curative for Schedule C, working up CDs/HUDs, as needed, and post-closing/funding tasks
- Backing up on closings, as requested by Closer or management
- Keeping Esc. Officer license active and CE credits up to date, after becoming licensed
- Friendly, well-organized person with a strong work ethic, attention to detail and desire to find solutions to help customers have a truly remarkable experience closing their real estate transactions
- Must create a positive image of the company through a professional appearance, actions, and conduct to fellow employees and customers
