Job Summary
Operate, maintain, and repair all onboard mechanical, electrical, and propulsion systems while performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance. Ensure compliance with USCG regulations, company policies, and industry standards by responding promptly to equipment malfunctions and emergencies. Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance, and inventory while supervising unlicensed engine room personnel and communicating clearly with the bridge and shoreside management. Participate in safety meetings, drills, and company training programs. Work an even-time rotational schedule (28/28 or 21/21) on offshore vessels, supporting operational efficiency and regulatory compliance for Bordelon Marine's offshore fleet.
Required Qualifications
- Valid USCG Engineer License (DDE Unlimited, 3rd Assistant Engineer, or higher preferred) with OICEW
- Valid TWIC
- Valid MMC
- Valid STCW
- Valid Medical Certificate
- Strong knowledge of diesel-electric propulsion and DP systems
- Experience working on offshore supply or specialty vessels
- Ability to work an even-time (28/28 or 21/21) rotational schedule
Desired Qualifications
- Valid USCG Engineer License (DDE Unlimited, 3rd Assistant Engineer, or higher preferred) with OICEW
- Valid TWIC, MMC, STCW, and Medical Certificate
- Strong knowledge of diesel-electric propulsion and DP systems
