Job Summary
Licensed Electrician position in London, Ontario for the 3rd shift (11:00 pm start) with Cargill’s protein and salt division. Performs skilled electrical tasks to install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair and modify complex industrial equipment and processes. Diagnoses malfunctions, conducts preventative and corrective maintenance, assists in installation/start-up of new equipment, and operates with minimal supervision while ensuring quality. Applies knowledge of electrical schematics, hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, electrical construction, high voltage power, distribution, instrumentation, and manufacturing processes. Adheres to EHS and FSQR policies, HACCP/FDA requirements, and environmental/food safety standards. May operate motorized material handling equipment and conducts daily tasks across assigned areas. Requires 309A/442A or Red Seal certification and proficiency in English; overtime and varied shifts expected. Relocation assistance not provided. Equal Opportunity Employer.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
- Possession of Construction Electrician 309A or Industrial Manufacturing Electrician 442A by the Ontario College of Trades or Red Seal certification
- Ability to read blueprints and layout drawings
- Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions with PPE
- English communication skills
- Overtime availability
- Shift flexibility
- 3rd Shift (Starting at 11:00 pm)
- Experience with electrical maintenance in industrial settings
- High voltage power understanding
- MRO/MRP knowledge (preferred)
