Job Summary
Licensed Electrician in London, ON responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing and modifying complex industrial equipment, processes and systems. Performs preventative and corrective electrical maintenance, assists in installation/start-up of new equipment, reads electrical schematics, and ensures compliance with EHS/FSQR and HACCP/FDA requirements. Requires ability to read blueprints/industrial drawings, knowledge of PLCs, pneumatics, hydraulics, and high‐voltage power, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a manufacturing/food-related environment.
Required Qualifications
- Possession of Construction Electrician 309A or Industrial Manufacturing Electrician 442A by the Ontario College of Trades or Red Seal certification
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
- Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
- Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with PPE
- Basic use of a computer and typing skills
- Ability to understand and communicate in English
- Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice
