Job Summary
Install, repair, and maintain electrical equipment and systems in a large manufacturing plant. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing motors, transformers, switchgear, control systems, inverters, and high-voltage equipment; performing preventative maintenance and routine testing; reading blueprints and wiring diagrams; maintaining accurate maintenance records; coordinating scheduled shutdowns with supervision; fostering a safe and organized work area (5S/LOTO); mentoring and assisting apprentices; and collaborating with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to minimize downtime. Requires a valid 442A industrial electrician license and a Certificate of Apprenticeship/Qualification, with 3+ years of industrial electrician experience. Heavy manufacturing environment experience is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Industrial Electrician License (442A)
- Certificate of Apprenticeship and Certificate of Qualification from Skilled Trades Ontario
- 3+ years of industrial electrician experience, preferably in a steel or heavy manufacturing environment
