Job Summary

Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures while ensuring compliance with relevant codes. Promote and comply with all company safety policies, actively participate in daily toolbox meetings, and set a personal example of safe behavior. Ensure proper functioning of all electrical units through scheduled checks for malfunctions and use appropriate testing and repair equipment. Complete assigned tasks, maintain records of electrical inventories and repair logs, and place orders for spare parts. Work a full-time 50-hour week, typically on night shift, with up to 90% travel to project sites in South Dakota.

Required Qualifications

  • 4 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • State Journeyman Electrical License
  • State Reciprical Licensing
  • Knowledge of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers, multiply and divide with 10's and 100's and ability to perform these operations using units weight measurement and volume
  • Common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form
  • Ability to work within precise standards of accuracy and follow set procedures and standards
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment
  • Ability to work at heights
  • Ability to abide by all safety and fall-protection requirements
  • Ability to see well (either naturally or with correction)
  • Ability to hear well (either naturally or with correction)
  • Ability to coordinate the use of eyes, hands, and feet
