Job Summary
Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures while ensuring compliance with relevant codes and safety policies. Conduct scheduled checks to identify malfunctions, properly handle testing and repair equipment, and complete tasks as assigned by the supervising manager. Maintain records of electrical inventories, place orders for spare parts, and log all repair and maintenance work. Adhere to Wanzek's Zero Injury principles by taking personal responsibility for the health and safety of yourself and others.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- four or more years' of related experience in construction
- equivalent combination of training and experience
- four or more years' experience working as a licensed electrician
- Journeyman Electrical License in the state of Maine or in a reciprocal state
Desired Qualifications
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to identify technical malfunctions in electrical units
- Sound understanding of handling and using electrical repair tools and equipment
- An ability to read, develop, and follow blueprints and wiring schematics
- Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area circumference and volume
- Apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
- Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
