Job Summary

Diagnose, overhaul, adjust, and repair all series of motor truck and trailer equipment with little or no supervision. Perform preventive maintenance services, including changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating machinery. Identify warrantable repairs, document them on repair orders, and road test vehicles to ensure proper operation. Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other critical parts using hand tools, power tools, and precision instruments. Adjust and replace brakes, tighten bolts, reassemble equipment, and raise heavy parts using hydraulic jacks. Specialize in troubleshooting major components like engines, transmissions, and differentials. Maintain work area safety and appearance while adhering to factory specifications.
