Job Summary
Licensed Deckhand aboard Lindblad Expeditions’ US-flagged vessels, operating Zodiacs to transport guests between ship and shore, performing ship maintenance, boat operations, and safety duties while delivering expedition experiences. Rotational schedule (approximately 2 months on / 1 month off) with demanding physical tasks, dock/bridge operations, guest services, and adherence to safety protocols; requires USCG licenses and STCW certifications, TWIC, and other maritime credentials. Strong teamwork, customer service, and ability to work in remote, physically demanding environments are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 25 GRT Master License
- TWIC
- US Passport or US Permanent Resident Card with valid passport
- STCW Basic Safety Training (BST)
- STCW Crowd Management (CM)
- STCW Vessel Personnel with Designated Security Duties (VPDSD)
- USCG Medical Certificate
- First Aid/CPR/AED certification
