Job Summary
As a Crisis Counselor, you will be a telephonic first responder delivering compassionate emotional support, risk assessment, crisis intervention, and stabilization services to callers experiencing distress. You will build rapport, assess concerns, provide resources and safety planning, intervene in emergent situations, and document care accurately. The role requires an emotionally resilient, patient communicator who can multitask across software systems, while maintaining HIPAA compliance and a distraction-free remote workspace with wired internet. You will participate in a six-week virtual training cohort, with remote scheduling after training and weekend/holiday availability. This is a remote, North Carolina–resident position based in Charlotte, NC, with opportunities for professional growth and advancement and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- MSW, PsyD, or PhD in a behavioral health field, OR MA/MS in a behavioral health field with clinical practice emphasis from COAMFTE, CACREP, or CORE-accredited program
- Active licensure in NC from among LCSW-A, LMFTA, LPCA, LCMHCA, LPA, LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LCMHC
