Job Summary
As a Crisis Counselor, provide empathetic telephonic support, risk assessment, crisis intervention, and stabilization to individuals in distress. Maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation while working remotely from a private, secure home office in New Mexico. Requires advanced behavioral health licensure (LMHC/LPCC/LMSW/LCSW) and an appropriate graduate degree (MSW, PsyD, PhD, or equivalent in behavioral health) and active licensure; duties include assessing risk, offering resources and coping strategies, safety planning, and facilitating referrals. Six-week paid virtual training, weekend/holiday scheduling requirements, and remote collaboration with a Scheduling Department are part of the role. The organization is remote-first, serving clients nationwide with a focus on immediate emotional support and crisis care.
Required Qualifications
- MSW, PsyD, or PhD in a behavioral health field OR MA/MS in a behavioral health field with clinical practice emphasis from a COAMFTE, CACREP, or CORE-accredited program
- NM residency and active NM licensure in LMHC|LPCC|LMSW|LCSW
- Licensure must be active and in good standing
