Job Summary
Provide non-medical counseling, coaching, and education to military service members and families, addressing deployment stress, relocation challenges, isolation, and parenting issues. Deliver problem-solving skills to improve relationships, manage stress, and support adjustment after returning from deployment. Work with school-based children on behavioral needs at DoDEA schools, childcare centers, or community schools, coordinating closely with military branch Points of Contact to ensure program scope and needs are met. Maintain independent judgment and discretion while providing resource information. Requires a Master's degree in Behavioral Health, two years of post-master's supervised clinical experience, and an independent license (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LCPC, or LMHC). Must be a U.S. citizen eligible for a NACI-level security clearance. Prior military service or familiarity with military culture is desired.
Required Qualifications
- A Master's degree in the Behavioral Health Professions
- Minimum 2 years of post-master's supervised clinical experience
- Mental Health Licensure at the Independent Practice level
- School Counselors must demonstrate past experience working in a school setting or other Child/Youth Services setting
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Must be able to obtain a NACI level government security clearance
