Job Summary
Conduct non-medical counseling, coaching, training, and education for military service members and families regarding deployment stress, relocation, isolation, and parenting. Deliver problem-solving support on living conditions, relationship improvement, stress management, and adjustment issues related to returning from deployment. Provide resource information and address marital problems, grief, and loss through supportive counseling, coaching, and training. School-based counselors work within DoDEA schools, military childcare centers, and local community schools, including summer camps and youth programs, while collaborating with branch Points of Contact to meet contract scope and installation needs. Mission Ready Reserve counselors offer flexible, on-call coverage for surge needs when regular staff are unavailable. This role supports active-duty families at Whiteman AFB, MO, with an $800 sign-on bonus for new hires.
Required Qualifications
- A Master's degree in the Behavioral Health Professions
- Minimum 2 years of post-master's supervised clinical experience
- Mental Health Licensure at the Independent Practice level
- Eligible license types include: LCSW/LICSW, LMFT, LPC, LCPC, and LMHC
- School Counselors must demonstrate past experience working in a school setting or other Child/Youth Services setting
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Must be able to obtain a NACI level government security clearance
