Job Summary
Tire Technician responsibilities include installing, balancing, rotating and repairing tires at commercial locations and roadside locations, coordinating with Commercial Sales Reps and Service Advisors to obtain work orders, completing documentation for service work and work orders, delivering customer tire maintenance programs through fleet checks, maintaining a tidy and safe shop and equipment, and managing inventory controls. The role requires lifting 80-100 lbs, working 45 hours per week with on-call/nights/weekends on a shared schedule, and possessing a HS-equivalent credential, with 2 years of tire technician experience, a valid G license, and willingness to obtain further certifications. Required Qualifications
- High School or Equivalent
- 2 years Tire Technician experience
- Valid G License and a clean Drivers Abstract
- TIA Certificate, or willing to be certified
- Internal Associates – Intermediate PLT Skills Matrix Achieved
- Commercial Wheel Installer Certificate preferred
- Basic mechanical aptitude and previous exposure to commercial fleet vehicles
- Interest in further expanding knowledge about the tire industry
- Excellent Interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
