Job Summary

Licensed Commercial Electrician responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems in commercial buildings (offices, schools, hospitals, retail centers, manufacturing facilities). Requires knowledge of electrical codes, blueprints, wiring systems, and safety procedures to ensure safe, efficient operation. Responsibilities include installing electrical systems and components, reading schematics/blueprints, diagnosing and repairing issues, maintaining breakers/transformers/switches/outlets/control systems, performing preventative maintenance, ensuring NEC and OSHA compliance, testing with diagnostic tools, collaborating with project managers and other trades on construction projects, maintaining records of work and materials, and working across indoor/outdoor commercial environments with potential overtime or on-call duties.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Completion of electrical apprenticeship preferred
  • Journeyman or Master Electrician licensed
  • Minimum 3–5 years of commercial electrical experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of NEC and commercial electrical systems
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical documents
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Skills & Abilities: Troubleshooting, independent work, teamwork, communication, organization, adaptability to various environments, physical stamina
