Job Summary
Provide individual and IOP group therapy sessions for patients with substance use disorders, both in-person and via telehealth. Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and utilize evidence-based modalities like CBT, MI, and DBT. Collaborate with clinic-level team members to formulate care plans, support crisis interventions, and coordinate higher levels of care when necessary. Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with guidelines and participate in regular case consultations and continuing education. Pioneer innovative ways to improve access for disadvantaged populations while championing the mission of low-barrier, compassionate SUD care. Monday - Friday, 8:30a - 5:00p EST. $70,000 - $80,000 plus 5% performance incentive. LCMHC, LMFT, or LCSW required with at least one year of SUD therapy experience.
Required Qualifications
- LCMHC, LMFT, LCSW, including clinicians currently obtaining supervised hours toward independent licensure, in North Carolina
- Minimum of 1 year experience providing therapy to individuals with substance use disorders
- Strong knowledge of SUD diagnoses, medications, and treatment modalities
- Ability to effectively interact with diverse staff, patients, and community members
- Excellent interpersonal skills, a flexible, can-do mentality, and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods during patient sessions, meetings, and daily work activities
- Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling clinical documentation and materials
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry materials (e.g., patient files, training supplies) weighing up to 25 pounds
- Ability to respond promptly to emergency situations, including providing assistance to patients in distress or crisis situations
- Sufficient visual and auditory abilities to assess patient needs, read documentation, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members
- Ability to navigate clinic spaces, including patient rooms, offices, and common areas
- Work may involve exposure to high-stress situations requiring emotional resilience, professionalism, and effective de-escalation skills
