Job Summary
Deliver mental health services under the guidance of a Senior Psychologist or Supervising Psychiatric Social Worker, evaluating, diagnosing, and managing psychiatric disorders to formulate effective treatment plans. Conduct face-to-face interviews, potentially at cell fronts, while participating in crisis interventions and group psychotherapy. Document all care provided and participate in Interdisciplinary Treatment Team meetings. Perform mental status exams, review pertinent documents, and facilitate patient transitions within the institution to ensure connections to external programs. Maintain safety and security while adhering to CA and CDCR laws and regulations. Requires current California LCSW certification, 12 continuous months of similar experience, and English proficiency. Schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM.
Required Qualifications
- Must hold a current LCSW certification valid in California
- A minimum of 12 continuous months of similar experience within the last 3 years
- Internship experience does not apply
- Proficiency in English, both oral and written
