Job Summary
Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) provides psychosocial assessments, counseling, and psychotherapy to military members and their families at the Defense Health Agency (DHA) in Japan. Responsibilities include independently assessing psychosocial functioning, formulating and implementing treatment plans, providing individual, family, and group therapy, coordinating referrals to community and government services, and offering consultation to staff. Requires an active LCSW license (US) and an MSW from an accredited CSWE program, with 2 years post-MSW clinical experience preferred; on-site roles in Okinawa or Kadena, Japan with relocation assistance available; collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and use of medical terminology across psychiatric, medical, and social domains.
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in ANY of the 50 United States or its territories
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited CSWE-accredited program
- Experience in clinical social work (master’s practicum or 2 years post-MSW) in a clinical/treatment setting within the last 3 years
- U.S. citizenship
