Job Summary
Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and provide psychotherapeutic counseling for individuals and families addressing mental disorders, social stress, and relationship difficulties. Facilitate psychoeducational and recovery-oriented group counseling sessions while developing evidence-based curricula focused on coping skills and relapse prevention. Deliver social work consultation to primary care providers through ongoing case discussions and treatment plan evaluations. Monitor patient engagement and clinical outcomes within individual and group settings while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive behavioral health interventions. Advocate for clients to influence change and improve quality of life.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work, from an accredited college or university
- experience working with troubled children and families
- individual and group psychotherapy for children and adults
- thorough knowledge of principles and techniques of youth and family counseling
- working knowledge of human services system
- ability to conduct and facilitate meetings
- ability to maintain effective working relationship with other social service providers
- ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- NJ license as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with electronic medical records, email, work and excel
- Experience facilitating behavioral health, psychoeducational, substance use disorder, recovery-oriented, or process groups
- Experience working within Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP), or other structured behavioral health treatment settings
- Knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Trauma-Informed Care, and Relapse Prevention
- Experience treating individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders
- Experience developing, coordinating, or facilitating structured behavioral health programming
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Preferably able to speak, read and write Spanish and English
