Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations, administer and interpret cognitive and neuropsychological testing, and provide evidence-based individual, group, and family psychotherapy to adults with acute psychiatric illness and serious mental illness. Facilitate crisis interventions, develop individualized treatment plans, and collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers in interdisciplinary team meetings. Supervise psychology interns and practicum students while maintaining professional documentation in the Electronic Health Record. Complete a mandatory five-day orientation Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM prior to regular day shift work. This role offers diverse clinical caseloads within a multidisciplinary behavioral health team focused on recovery-oriented care.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.), Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.), or Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Psychology from an accredited institution
- Completion of a one-year supervised clinical internship
- Current Pennsylvania license issued by the State Board of Psychology
- Minimum of one year of post-doctoral clinical psychology experience
- Experience in inpatient psychiatry, behavioral health, psychiatric hospitals, community mental health, correctional mental health, substance use treatment, or related clinical settings
- Strong knowledge of psychopathology, psychological assessment, and evidence-based psychotherapy
- Experience administering and interpreting psychological assessments
- Excellent clinical judgment and diagnostic skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Excellent documentation and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary treatment team
- Strong interpersonal skills with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Microsoft Office applications
- Must be able to respond effectively to behavioral health crises while maintaining professionalism, therapeutic boundaries, and ethical standards
- Must be able to attend a mandatory five-day orientation Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM prior to beginning their regular work schedule
- Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of all pre-employment requirements, including a physical examination, background check, verification of employment, and drug screening
Desired Qualifications
- American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) certification
- One year of postdoctoral residency may be substituted for one year experience
