Job Summary
Licensed Blaster (Quarry) performs blasting activities under direction of Blasting Supervisor and Project Superintendent. Responsibilities include executing blasting tasks, monitoring blast-site operations, providing input on blast-related activities, ensuring pre-blast inspections and seismograph setup, adhering to safety policies, coordinating material requests, tracking blast patterns, reporting results, and maintaining required documentation. Requires High School degree, Blaster I/II training, valid blasting certificate, CDL with hazmat endorsement, and 2+ years of experience with drills and explosives; travel is required. Required Qualifications
- High School Degree
- Minimum of two years experience working with drills and explosives
- Blaster I training
- Blaster II training
- Valid Blasting Certificate (where required)
- Valid CDL with hazmat endorsement (and company-qualified driver)
- Ability to transport explosives across state lines
- Sufficient driving record
- Ability to pass ATF screenings
