Job Summary
Licensed Blaster responsible for blasting activities in accordance with the job program under direction of Blasting Supervisor and Project Superintendent. Performs job-site blasting, conducts pre-blast tests and seismograph setup, ensures safety policies are followed, processes supply/material requests, documents explosives usage, and completes required trip manifests. Requires completion of Blaster I and II training, a valid blasting certificate (as required by state), a CDL with hazmat endorsement, strong communication skills, ability to travel out-of-town, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to operate drill equipment, understand blast design and elevation readings, and maintain field accounting reports. The role entails working at the Greensboro, NC site with on-site, in-person duties and interaction with Blasting Supervisor and Project Superintendent.
Required Qualifications
- High School Degree
- Minimum of two years experience working with drills and explosives
- Blaster I training
- Blaster II training
- Valid Blasting Certificate (where required)
- CDL with hazmat endorsement (Company-qualified driver)
- Good communications skills
- Valid driving record as defined by company insurance carrier
- Willingness to travel out of town/state
- Criminal background check with ATF
