Job Summary
Licensed Blaster on a construction site who performs blasting activities under supervision, conducts pre-blast inspections, sets up seismographs, monitors blast design and digging relationships, documents explosive use, and reports results to Blasting Supervisor or Project Superintendent; must hold a valid Blasting Certificate, Blaster I/II training, CDL with hazmat endorsement, and comply with safety policies.
Required Qualifications
- High School Degree
- Minimum of two years experience working with drills and explosives
- Blaster I training
- Blaster II training
- Possess a Valid Blasting Certificate in states that require this
- Must have a valid CDL with hazmat endorsement and is a Company-qualified driver
- Must have good communications skills
- Out of town/state travel
- Criminal background check with ATF
- Understanding of blasting techniques: blast design, loading holes, detonators, grade & elevation readings
- Proficiency in drill operations
