Job Summary
Licensed Blaster role performing blasting activities under the direction of a Blasting Supervisor and Project Superintendent. Responsibilities include conducting pre-blast tests and seismograph setup, following safety policies, placing supply requests, monitoring blast patterns, documenting explosives usage, and completing field accounting reports. Requires a valid Blasting Certificate (where required), Blaster I/II training, CDL with hazmat endorsement, ability to travel out of town, and strong communication skills. On-site Raleigh, NC with full-time employment and opportunities for safety leadership and field advancement.
Required Qualifications
- High School Degree
- Minimum of two years experience working with drills and explosives
- Blaster I training and Blaster II training
- Valid Blasting Certificate (where required)
- CDL with hazmat endorsement and company-qualified driver
- Good driving record
- Out of town/state travel
- Pass a criminal background check with ATF
- Understanding of blasting techniques: blast design, loading holes, detonators, grade & elevation readings, securing blast site, identifying explosives
- Proficient in drill operations
