Job Summary
Conduct psychosocial assessments, preliminary diagnostic impressions, counseling therapy, crisis intervention, and case management services for patients within a correctional facility. Collect patient information through interviews, case histories, psychological tests, and observational techniques to evaluate data and determine therapeutic approaches or specialist referrals. Prepare treatment and follow-up care programs while providing therapeutic crisis intervention and emergency services as required. Demonstrate knowledge of DSM-5 criteria and consult with other behavioral health practitioners and staff. Work one week on, one week off schedule at Dekalb County Jail with weekend shift differentials.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Social Work or related field
- Current state Mental Health Professional license
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance to include background check and drug screen
