Job Summary
Licensed Behavioral Consultant provides individualized, person-centered behavioral support and therapeutic services to children, youth, and young adults with mental, emotional, and behavioral health needs in the IBHS program. Works with clients in homes, schools, and community settings to implement treatment plans, promote positive behavior, and foster independence, dignity, and well-being. Collaborates with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure meaningful outcomes and community integration. Responsibilities include designing and directing intervention plans, conducting client assessments within 15 days of service initiation, observing clients in school/home/community settings, training and guiding school personnel and families in plan implementation, coordinating with interagency teams, providing consultations when issues arise, and participating in monthly peer reviews with a licensed psychologist, while adhering to CASSP principles and documentation guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate degree in psychology, social work, education, or counseling
- Minimum of 1 year of full-time experience in providing mental health direct services to children, youth or young adults
- Or completion of a clinical or mental health direct service practicum with a graduate degree in psychology, social work, education, counseling, or related field
- ABA services experience or training: minimum 40 hours of ABA-related training and supervision by a professional with BCBA or equivalent
