Job Summary
Receive repair orders from dispatch and perform work with efficiency and accuracy, ensuring all tasks meet factory standards. Examine vehicles to identify additional safety or service needs, then advise the Service Advisor immediately. Communicate job status updates to the dispatcher, prioritizing rush or customer-waiting orders, and complete detailed documentation for every task. Road-test vehicles to quality-check repairs and supervise apprentice technicians as assigned. Maintain a clean, hazard-free shop environment and comply with all safety and waste disposal regulations. Assist in creating quotes for additional work required and attend factory-sponsored training to stay current on technical bulletins.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a fully licensed Technician
- Working knowledge of automotive equipment
- Strong diagnostic skills
- Proficiency in electrical diagnosis and repairs
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- A highly self-motivated and organized individual
- Well-developed interpersonal skills
- Must be committed to consistently delivering high-quality work
- Ability to make sound decisions
- A valid British Columbia driver's license
- The ability to provide drivers abstract for review
