Job Summary
Conduct general mechanical inspections and repairs including brake jobs, exhaust system work, front-end alignments, and air conditioning maintenance. Perform pre and post-sale inspections, test drives, and motor vehicle safety checks covering body, frame, and powertrain systems. Execute general maintenance such as oil and fluid changes, tire rotations, and shop logistics like pulling vehicles and test driving for diagnosis. Mentor apprentice technicians, assist with parts sourcing and quoting, and complete work orders for parts and labor entries. This role requires flexibility including Saturday shifts and adherence to strict safety procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Red Seal Automotive Service Technician Certification (or 310S in Ontario)
- Experience in repair and service of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems and components on a variety of vehicles
- Previous Dealership experience
- Experience with OEM Diagnostics
- Valid Drivers' License
- Basic computer skills & able to utilization of smartphone
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for Saturday shifts
Desired Qualifications
- License to complete Motor Vehicle Inspections (MVI)
- 5+ years experience
- Proven ability as a team player
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a positive and professional attitude
- A motivated self-starter who can work in a fast-paced environment
