Job Summary
Perform turbine engine repair and overhaul, including troubleshooting, disassembly, cleaning, inspection, assembly, and testing to approve components for return to service. Execute repairs on or off wing while adhering to FAA Regulations, OEM manuals, and technical publications. Utilize precision measuring tools to detect defects, evaluate part repairability, and conduct non-destructive testing. Manage inventory, coordinate logistics, and maintain documentation using applicable database systems. Travel at least 25% of the time and perform general facility maintenance. Requires an FAA Power Plant license or authorization to acquire within one year.
Required Qualifications
- FAA Power Plant license required or must be acquired within 1 year of job award
- Must have the authorization to work in the US
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent is required
- Must have at least 1 year or more experience in gas turbine engine/components maintenance and repair
- Must be able to read, interpret and understand technical manuals, work specifications and written work instructions
- Ability to read micrometers and other precision-measuring instruments
- Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally with peers, clients, and public
- Ability to get along with co-workers and peers
- Maintenance of regular attendance and punctuality with customary tolerance
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs. unassisted throughout the day
- Must be able to travel at least 25% of the time
Desired Qualifications
- FAA Airframe license
- Pratt and Whitney, Honeywell and/or Rolls Royce experience preferred
