Job Summary
Conduct assessments to determine client treatment needs and provide individual and group counseling using various therapeutic techniques to facilitate sobriety and wellness. Develop materials for and facilitate client group meetings, including 12 step, relapse prevention, and trauma sessions, while assigning and monitoring drug screen results. Maintain accurate records and documentation on clients and treatment progress as required by federal, state, and agency standards. Attend staff meetings to consult with professional staff and refer clients to support services as needed. Provide reliable and prompt attendance, including evenings, on-call rotation, and weekends as dictated by business necessity.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related discipline such as social work, chemical dependency, counseling or human services
- Current Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counseling certification or Licensed Addiction Counselor certification, depending on state/location/program
- Meet exemptions under applicable Federal/state rules and statutes
- Current Licensed Clinical Independent Social Worker certification or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor
- Valid driver license and be able to be insured according to company insurance standards
- Ability to work the schedule dictated by business necessity, to include evenings, on-call rotation and weekends as needed
- Stooping and bending
- Use of color vision and ability to distinguish colors
- Pushing and pulling, lifting and carrying up to 15 lbs
- Ability to communicate orally and hear/understand oral communication
- Ability to utilize fine motor skills, reach and grasp
- Standing for up to 1 hour
