Job Summary
Licensed Addiction Counselor role overseeing a caseload and providing treatment to individuals while supervising groups in an outpatient setting. Responsibilities include reviewing client files to determine evaluation needs, administering SUD assessments, recommending chemical dependency referrals, coordinating with pre-release centers and probation officers to ensure terminations from programs, maintaining timely documentation and contract compliance, attending meetings, and participating in ongoing orientation and training. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field, Montana licensure as a Counselor (ACLC/LAC) or transferable certification, ability to pass drug screening and background checks, and a valid driver’s license. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or a related field with two years’ experience in substance abuse counseling preferred
- Must hold Montana State Licensed Addictions Counselor (LAC) certification or be certifiable within one year, or be certified in another state transferable, or hold National certification
- Must be able to pass federal workplace drug screening and background check
- Must hold a valid driver’s license
