Job Summary
Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN) in an inpatient rehabilitation setting provides direct nursing care under RN supervision, including assisting with patient assessments, vital signs, medication administration, ADLs, and patient education as part of an interdisciplinary care plan. Collaborates with therapists to support rehabilitation activities, documents care activities and observations, and ensures a safe, clean patient care environment consistent with rehabilitation principles.
Required Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered license to practice vocational nursing in the state where currently practicing
- Current BLS via the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional vocational nursing
- Strong clinical skills in basic patient care, medication administration (under RN supervision), and vital signs monitoring
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
Desired Qualifications
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification (preferred)
- ACLS certification a plus
