Job Summary
Senior Civil Project Engineer sought to lead field-based land development initiatives in Canton, GA. Responsibilities include architecting infrastructure solutions for complex commercial, residential, mixed-use, and municipal projects; directing hydrologic analyses and stormwater/detention design; managing project schedules, budgets, and technical deliverables from concept to construction administration; navigating local/state/federal permitting and serving as primary liaison with municipal authorities and Cherokee County agencies; coordinating with clients, surveyors, architects, contractors, and internal teams; mentoring junior engineers and CAD designers; conducting site visits to ensure construction aligns with engineering intent. Required: ABET-accredited Civil Engineering degree, Georgia PE license, minimum 5 years on land development/site design, AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency, and experience with Hydraflow/StormCAD or equivalent; strong knowledge of erosion and sediment control, site grading, utility design, and Georgia permitting."
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Georgia
- Minimum of 5 years of civil engineering experience focused on land development and site design
- Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Professional experience with drainage software such as Hydraflow, StormCAD, or equivalent tools
- Expertise in erosion and sediment control, site grading, utility design, and Georgia permitting processes
