Job Summary
Order new materials and resources, process invoices, and maintain accurate records while managing relationships with library vendors. Process, shelve, and maintain library materials, including updating loose-leaf services and periodicals, and assist with collection evaluation and weeding projects. Create and update catalog records, identifying and correcting errors to ensure resource accuracy. Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned. This part-time role requires 15 to 20 hours per week between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., with occasional flexibility for adjusted hours.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of two years of college in a related field and one to two years of related library experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Familiarity with Integrated Library System (ILS) software, database searching, and Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds, push fully loaded book carts, and bend or reach to retrieve and shelve books
- Part-time position, working approximately 15 to 20 hours per week
- Scheduled work hours will generally fall between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
- Occasional flexibility may be required to work additional days or adjusted hours based on staffing and operational needs
