Library Services Specialist, Part-Time- Avondale

Library Services Specialist delivers outstanding customer service while supporting the Chattanooga Public Library’s mission through circulation and reference duties, cataloging, programming, and outreach. Responsibilities include assisting patrons with informational requests, training patrons in making use of library resources and makerspace equipment, coordinating or leading shifts when needed, cross-training across departments, processing passport applications where applicable, and possibly serving as a Notary Public. The role involves operating library devices, managing inventories, preparing program displays, handling inter-library loans, maintaining bibliographic records and databases, generating reports and statistics, and traveling to various library locations to support outreach and program delivery. Strong emphasis on customer service, attention to detail, ability to follow policies, and collaboration with staff and patrons across library services.
