Job Summary
Teen-focused Library Services Associate (Part-Time) at Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh – Beechview. Acts as a mentor and connects teens to resources, supports job readiness, readers’ advisory, and program development with emphasis on Connected Learning, digital media, STEM, and equity/diversity. Responsibilities include building relationships with teens and families, delivering high-quality customer service, collaborating with staff, managing teenspace and volunteers, assisting with day-to-day operations (circulation, shelving), and supporting community outreach and partnerships. Requires 25 hours/week with evenings/weekends, a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent public-service experience, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and willingness to work in a busy urban library setting. Compensation $19.00/hour. Location: CLP-Beechview, Pittsburgh, PA. Equal opportunity employer. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or a minimum of four years of experience at the Employer’s facilities or in an equivalent public service role demonstrating successful application of customer service standards, as determined in the sole discretion of the Employer.
