Job Summary
Library Outreach Specialist at Danville Public Library develops and promotes library programs and services through in-person community engagement, partner events, and mobile programming. Responsibilities include hosting programs outside the library, serving as liaison to local organizations, coordinating outreach events, distributing materials via the library’s mobile services, providing technology assistance, and collecting usage statistics. Requires the ability to work with diverse community groups, manage off-site services, and operate the library vehicle; an Associate’s degree and 1–2 years of experience are preferred, with a valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree, with knowledge of a specific vocational, administrative or technical nature, from a college, vocational or technical school; and one to two years of experience.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of the specific requirements listed above
- Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record according to City Criteria
- College courses and workshops in reference areas
