Job Summary
Manage JKM Library social media accounts and email newsletters while creating infographics, signage, brochures, and videos. Collaborate with the Head of Library Instruction and Outreach to plan, coordinate, and attend library events, and develop themed displays and exhibits. Write blog posts and various communications, including newsletters, as needed. Perform administrative tasks and additional library projects as required. Work up to 12 hours weekly at the Jennie King Mellon Library in Shadyside.
Required Qualifications
- Have the capacity for creativity and innovation
- Have strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Have a high level of attention to detail
- Have experience in a variety of software (social media management platforms, graphic design tools, multi-media production software, etc.) or the capacity to learn them quickly
- Be comfortable learning on the job and working independently
- Be highly organized
