Job Summary
Library Media Specialist with responsibility for developing and leading a comprehensive library media program to support the school's mission. Partners with teachers to integrate information literacy and resource-based units into instruction, ensures access to diverse formats, plans and executes collaborative lessons, manages the library budget, supervises assistants and volunteers, promotes literacy and uses technology to enhance information access, stays current with trends through professional development, and advises on copyright and intellectual freedom. Remote-work eligibility may be determined by the superintendent based on role and responsibilities; reports to the site principal and may consult the director of Information Technology Services. Nine-month terms; annual evaluation per Board policy.
Required Qualifications
- Masters degree in Library and Information Studies
- Current Oklahoma School Library Media Specialist certification
