Job Summary
Library Manager – Communities & Engagement based from Salisbury Library. Role involves promoting library services and outreach, particularly to non-users, and forging partnerships with local organisations to deliver the Wiltshire Library Strategy. Lead the library team to shape activities and services across Salisbury, Downton and Tisbury libraries, ensuring welcoming, inclusive spaces and strong community engagement. Requires ability to manage a busy, customer-facing environment, strong organisational, communication and planning skills, and the capacity to build sustainable partnerships; Level 4 ACLIP qualification or equivalent experience is expected. Hybrid working model applies with on-site and community-based duties; evenings and Saturdays included in the rota.
Required Qualifications
- Level 4 standard or ACLIP qualification or equivalent experience
- excellent organisational, communication and planning skills
- ability to build positive relationships and broker community partnerships
- experience in management of a busy library or customer-facing/community roles
- familiarity with Wiltshire Library priorities and strategy
