Job Summary
Library Manager for Sacred Heart School in Rockport, TX, responsible for procuring publications, accessioning books using online library software, maintaining an inviting library with accurate circulation inventory, collaborating with teachers and the principal to support Catholic identity, modeling Gospel values, participating in religious activities, organizing and coordinating the Book Fair during National Catholic Schools Week, and fulfilling Safe Environment and background check requirements to support the spiritual formation of students.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or ABLE courses for Library Education
- Valid Texas driver's license
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Proficiency in information technology resources (library automation, internet, multimedia delivery)
- Criminal history background check
- Motor vehicle record review
- Drug screening
- Certification in Safe Environment training (Office for Safe Environment and Child & Family Resources)
- Ability to organize and maintain records; experience with book procurement, accessioning and inventory
- Willingness to coordinate and run the Book Fair during National Catholic Schools Week
- Online library software proficiency and cataloging/processing skills
- Commitment to Catholic ministry and Gospel values
