Job Summary
Library Media Specialist duties include managing the school library/media center, developing and circulating materials, assisting students and staff with research and resources, collaborating with teachers to integrate technology, instruction in information literacy and digital citizenship, and creating multimedia content to support instructional goals and promote library programs. Requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in library science or related field; practicing Catholic preferred. Part-time position for the 2026-2027 school year, located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in library science, education, instructional technology, or a related field.
- Certification as a school librarian/media specialist (if required by state or district)
- Experience working in a school library/media center or similar educational setting
- Practicing Catholic preferred
