Library and Information Advisor

Library and Information Advisor role delivering customer-focused library services at Glemsford and Clare libraries. Responsibilities include helping visitors access services, supporting IT/digital activities, running Word Play sessions for pre-school children and parents, organizing crafts and community events, shelving and stock management, processing payments, and creating displays. The role involves lone working, opening/closing libraries, assisting volunteers and community groups, and promoting library services to diverse age groups with an emphasis on early childhood engagement and IT guidance. It requires good communication, teamwork, IT literacy, and a proactive approach to community outreach; prior customer-facing experience and an interest in books/computers are advantageous.
