Job Summary
Librarian to lead modernization of library services and drive digital innovation across the curriculum; responsible for library operations, collection management, LMS administration, Turnitin platform management, budgeting, and supervising library assistants and volunteers. Develop training on MLA 9 citation standards, conduct workshops on research methods and ethical AI use in student research, promote library initiatives and collaborations across the school, and coordinate with IB coordinators to support integrity and coursework delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Library Science, Information Studies, or a related information management discipline
- Membership of a professional Library organization e.g. CILIP, ALIA, ALA is essential
- 3-5 years of professional library experience desirable, ideally within an international or IB World School environment
- Expert knowledge of Library Management Systems (LMS), digital database archiving, and educational platforms (Turnitin)
- Familiarity with IB curriculum frameworks (IBDP/IBCP) and MLA 9 citation rules
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate with faculty heads, coordinators, and students
