Job Summary
Librarian/Media Specialist responsible for supervising and managing the school library/media center, delivering instruction to help students locate, evaluate, synthesize, and use information, and serving as a materials expert and curriculum adviser to integrate library services with instructional programs. Leads program development including acquisitions, cataloging, scheduling, and instruction for teachers and students; administers library resources, maintains reports and records, and ensures compliance with district policies, state rules, and federal laws. Requires strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as experience in budget planning, staff supervision, and providing staff development related to campus and district resources.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university
- Valid Texas librarian or learning resources specialist certificate or endorsement
- Three years experience in library/media center in public school setting
