Job Summary
Conduct regular inspections of facilities and entertainment amenities, including bowling lanes, pinsetters, and theater seating, to identify areas needing attention. Perform repairs and maintenance on building elements ranging from broken recliners to wall patching, while managing general cleaning duties. Run errands as needed, utilizing a personal vehicle for travel beyond 150 miles one-way that requires overnight stays. Maintain perfect attendance during the first 60 days, then master the internal ticketing system to achieve a weekly average of 15 closed tickets. Work nights, weekends, and holidays for 40+ hours a week in a safe environment for employees and guests.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of prior experience in general building maintenance, commercial repairs, automotive work, or mechanical equipment servicing.
- Specific hands-on experience with bowling pinsetter systems, arcade machine maintenance, and/or theater seating systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be at least 18 years old at the time of hiring.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly to fulfill job responsibilities.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
- Must maintain personal automobile liability insurance in accordance with applicable state minimum requirements and be able to use a personal vehicle for business related travel as required.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort working with moving mechanical parts and hand/power tools.
- Proficiency or comfort using digital devices (tablets/smartphones) to record entries in an internal ticketing system.
- Hours: 40+ hours a week, working nights, weekends and holidays is a requirement; hours may vary.
- Regularly required to stand and walk for extended periods; climb ladders or stairs; and balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl into tight spaces (such as behind bowling pinsetters or under theatre seating).
- Frequent use of hands and power tools to handle, feel, or reach.
- Precision is required for mechanical repairs and internal ticketing system entries.
- Must be able to frequently move and transport equipment or supplies weighing up to 35 lbs. and occasionally assist in heavier items exceeding 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in varied environments, which may include loud noise levels (bowling/theatre audio), dusty areas, or outdoor weather conditions during building exterior inspections.
