Job Summary
Conduct regular inspections of facilities and entertainment amenities, then perform repairs on bowling lanes, pinsetters, building structures, and theater seating. Manage daily maintenance tasks including general cleaning, running errands, and traveling beyond 150 miles one-way with overnight stays when necessary. Work 40+ hours weekly across nights, weekends, and holidays. Maintain a minimum of 15 closed tickets per week using an internal ticketing system, with performance improvement plans initiated if standards are not met. Requires valid driver's license, personal vehicle for business travel, and hands-on mechanical aptitude.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of prior experience in general building maintenance, commercial repairs, automotive work, or mechanical equipment servicing.
- Specific hands-on experience with bowling pinsetter systems, arcade machine maintenance, and/or theater seating systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be at least 18 years old at the time of hiring.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly to fulfill job responsibilities.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
- Must maintain personal automobile liability insurance in accordance with applicable state minimum requirements and be able to use a personal vehicle for business related travel as required.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort working with moving mechanical parts and hand/power tools.
- Proficiency or comfort using digital devices (tablets/smartphones) to record entries in an internal ticketing system.
- Must be available for 40+ hours a week, working nights, weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to frequently move and transport equipment or supplies weighing up to 35 lbs. and occasionally assist in heavier items exceeding 50 lbs.
- Must be able to climb ladders or stairs; and balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl into tight spaces (such as behind bowling pinsetters or under theatre seating).
